Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any tips for inexperienced blog writers? I'd genuinely appreciate it.

"Successful men, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business, or profession. Those who are not successful usually make the mistake of believing that the knowledge acquiring period ends when one finishes school." Think and Grow rich, Napoleon Hill The truth is we are never too old, too young, too intelligent or lazy to learn from a book. Reading makes leaders!

@chinaren: Thanks for your comments... I can't claim to have inside knowledge about communism, but you are right that most people don't have the drive to reach the top. That drive is beaten out of them before they realise it, and they end up happily ignorant in their mediocre lives.

However - everyone has the potential to become rich - they just have to come to this realization themselves.

If you replaced the word 'rich' with 'communism' in your piece, it would read almost the same.

The reason that some people are rich, and (most) aren't is one of circumstance. (duh) I do believe the primary one is simple laziness. Another reason is also simple: Intelligence. Most people are of average intelligence, and live an average life quite happily. They don't have the drive to reach the top, to become rich.

And there's the similarity with your post and communism. Communism, in *principle* is a good idea, but it fails in one area: It fails because people are different! This also happens, ironically, to be the reason some people are rich and others aren't.

Some people are good at the things that make people rich. Others aren't interested, or don't 'have it'.

The simple lesson here is:

If you have to read a book to learn how to become rich, you're not going to become rich.

Here's another conumdrum:

Why, in a day and age where most people's screen resolution is way up and over 1024x768, are comment boxes SO DAMNED SMALL????

The defense rests. Now go and watch Idiocracy, 'cos it's happening.
